Hello again!  I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful summer!  Our boys are now Bears!

As we start our school year, it is a new year for the Cub Scouts as well. Please let me know if you intend on re-registering.  I just want to get a feel for how large the den will be.  Depending on level of interest, we may combine with the Bridge School den.  Oh, and just so you know and can plan accordingly, our overnight trip will be a sleepover on the USS Massachusetts at Battleship Cove!  Sure to be a hit!

Also, I just wanted to get a few dates out to everyone in case you have not seen the Pack calendar:

• 9/7 (Tue) - Super Soaker at Hastings Park 6:30 p.m. Try to encourage you Cub to bring a friend to this recruiting event.  You must supply your own water guns and water.  If you are filling something from the tap or hose, do it earlier so the water is not as cold!
• 9/14 (Tue) - Registration night at St. Brigid's 7:00 p.m.
• 9/19 (Sun) - New parent orientation, even if you are not new, feel free to drop in and share your experiences!
• TBD - Originally the Pack meeting on 9/23 (Thu), but being rescheduled due to conflict with back-to-school night at Fiske and Bridge
• 10/3 (Sun) - Rocket Launch at Diamond Middle School 4:00 p.m. (Bears and Webelos)
• 10/7 (Thu) - Den meeting at Cary Library Learning Center 7:00 p.m.  I was planning on doing the Den meetings on the 1st Thursday of every month, and the Pack meetings are typically on the 3rd Thursday of every month.  Also, we may need to meet before or after the Pack meetings a couple of times due to the number of achievements needed for the Bear rank badge. So for now, please pencil in the 1st Thursday of each month through May.  Thanks again for everyone's help last year with the den meetings. I think that worked very well, and I will probably look to do that again this year.
